Busy busy day. At work I finished adding the newest features to my larger project. I also finally implemented some “dumb user checking” to prevent the user from doing very stupid things. Suprisingly, this took a lot of work. People can do a lot of things to break things and are crafty folk that you cannot trust. Thus, you limit them in every possible way!
Today was the going away luncheon for another co-op. Shes been here for the past 6 months and is now going back to school to do another job until school starts. A large group of people went so it was a lot of fun. We went to Olive Garden again (yay for italian food).
After work, against my best judgments I went to play some ultimate. I guess I slightly hurt my legs some on Monday- I thought I would be fine after warming up but it didn’t really work out well. It also almost was about to rain but never did- this means that it was really muggy and annoying out.
Right after ultimate, I quickly showered and grabbed some quick food (PB&J sandwich and another Hot Pocket- I know I’ll eat better, I really didn’t have time today) then met up with some other people to see Superman Returns! We went to a far away theater so we could see the 3D imax version. It was a few bucks more but it was worth it- it was a lot of fun and the movie was pretty good. I’d recommend watching 3D or even plain old 2D superman this weekend. The movie was pretty late so I’m going to be dead at work tomorrow :( Good thing I just am finishing up two projects.
As a side note, I talked to some other interns and they advised talking to other technical people. Maybe if I talk with them I can get to know other possibilities for future jobs at Intel, or even at other places. I’m really interested in Computer Architecture and while I’m here, why not see how Intel does it!
No WoW today- too busy!
So I’m writing this a little late. You would never know it because I can BEND TIME ITSELF and edit the timestamps. From what I remember, this day was pretty uneventful. Worked 8-5 like usual.
After work went online to the Wonderful World of Warcraft for a while, then took a break and met up with some friends and played Xbox live at their house. My skill level at xbox games is roughly a 0 / 10, so I can use some practice. Sorry, but I just think computers are better for first person shooters. With computers I can at least turn around and look at the person when they kill me, I don’t just suddenly start getting shot and die before finding the actual enemy. My suckage is beginning to reduce- with the last match I killed a whopping 0 people 0 times out of the 9 people that were playing. Woo-hoo! Maybe with practice I’ll get better but more likely I’ll give up before then
Not such a great dinner today- hot pockets! I was kindof rushed because I played wow too long, and then needed to goto my friends house. Oops!
Worked on redesigning the one proof of concept project I had. Looks like it is turning into a real project. Anyways now it looks very nice and I can expand it even more.
Oddly enough sometime during the day my rear-view mirror fell off. It just disconnected from the windshield. I got into the car and saw it dangling by the power wire. I’ll take it into a body shop in a few days- I was told epoxy wouldn’t be strong enough to hold it and why bother taking a chance when it should be pretty cheap to fix.
After work it was time for BBQ! Looks like Tuesday is officially BBQ night. A number of people came over- we might go somewhere else next week or in the future but Phil has a big grill so our place is a good choice. Everything was going great until we ran out of Propane. I ran out to Wal-Mart with Galen to get some more- how fun! Anyways everything turned out great. We ended up having a pretty advanced BBQ- burgers, sausages, chicken, corn on the cob, grilled potato slices. Quality meal! (No I didn’t actually cook any of it, but I ate.)

Level 23. Didn’t play very much tonight. Spent some time exploring and dying.
