haha i’m sure that would work on all the people. most of my coworkers are older though. maybe its good to say to younger people. i’ll try it out sometime and let you know the results

just walk up to them and say “zhongguo ren de jiji hen xiao, bai ren de jiji hen da.” that’ll give them the picture.

i don’t see anything wrong with approaching some of the people you know better and telling them you study chinese. i think they’d appreciate your (pitiful) attempt to learn about their culture, or lack thereof.
